Rollingstock Maintainer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Tradesperson to join our Rollingstock Maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out inspections, fault-finding, servicing, and repairs across locomotives, wagons, plant, and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong safety mindset, hands-on approach, and ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a valid A-Class Electrical Licence, Electrical Trade Certificate, and Unrestricted C-Class Driver's Licence.
* Perform scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs
* Fault-finding using schematics, drawings, tools, and diagnostic equipment
* Working on electrical systems within your trade scope
* Undertaking train examinations and operating fixed/mobile plant as needed
* Supporting derailment recovery and field response work when required
* Accurately completing work orders and following safety procedures
* Providing on-the-job support or guidance to apprentices or other team members
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
* Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical documentation
* Flexibility to work across various shifts as required
