Cronos Steel Processing is dedicated to quality, safety, and efficiency in steel processing. We seek a motivated individual to join our team and maintain our high standards.
Responsibilities
* Operate CNC Plasma Cutting Machines: Set up and operate machines to cut and shape steel components per specifications. Flexibility to operate multiple machines.
* Material Handling: Load and unload materials, ensuring proper alignment and positioning.
* Quality Control: Inspect products for quality and adjust as needed.
* Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate repairs with the team leader.
* Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and report concerns or incidents.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including material usage and quality control.
* Housekeeping: Keep the work area clean, manage scrap metal, and ensure tools are returned to their proper locations.
Skills & Experience
* Qualifications: Relevant CNC operating experience, with Kinetic machines being advantageous. Forklift ticket is advantageous.
* Experience: Prior experience in steel processing or sheet metal workshop preferred. Knowledge of materials and metallurgy is beneficial.
* Skills: Reliable and self-motivated with a robust work ethic. Ability to support machine operations and maintain high performance standards. Team-oriented with attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Forklift ticket and overhead crane experience are advantageous.

Job Details
* Job Types: Full time, Casual
* Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
* Expected hours: 38 per week
* Schedule: Afternoon shift, Monday to Friday, Morning shift, Overtime
* Supplementary Pay: Overtime pay, Penalty rates
* Experience: Operator CNC Plasma/Oxy Machines: 1 year (preferred)
* Licence/Certification: Driver Licence (preferred)
* Work Authorisation: Australia (required)
* Location: Meadowbrook, QLD 4131 (preferred)
