Senior Speech Pathologist – Far West Local Health District
This temporary full‑time maternity locum will commence on 27 March 2024 (until 2 April 2027). You will work as a Senior Generalist Speech Pathologist based at Broken Hill Health Service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Provide senior clinical oversight and interventions for the Speech Pathology team within Broken Hill Hospital and Health Service.
* Deliver assessment and treatment to adult and paediatric clients through a collaborative practice model in multidisciplinary teams.
* Support services in acute, sub‑acute, outpatient and community settings, including outreach and telehealth.
* Assist in quality improvement projects and support junior clinicians.

Qualifications and experience required:
* Degree in Speech Pathology recognised by Speech Pathology Australia; practising membership eligibility.
* At least 3 years postgraduate experience, managing complex adult and paediatric caseloads.
* Independent and collaborative dynamic team work in acute, rehabilitation and outpatient settings.
* Advanced clinical reasoning and evidence‑based practice.
* Strong organisational, time‑management and prioritisation skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication, consultation, negotiation and conflict resolution.
* Capability to plan, implement and evaluate service delivery, including quality improvement.
* Ability to supervise and educate Level 1/2 staff, students and trainees.
* Unrestricted NSW driver's licence or equivalent; willingness to travel for outreach – overnight stays possible.
