Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee operational activities for a designated area, portfolio or program from Mutdapilly (West Brisbane). The Senior Operations Supervisor ensures efficiency, quality and fiscal responsibility.
* Plan, manage and report on outputs, resources and costs while continuously improving processes and procedures to achieve both quantitative and qualitative outcomes.
* Manage technical and non‐technical staff, including subordinate team leaders, overseeing performance, development, recruitment and workplace health and safety.
* Ensure all operations comply with legal, safety and organisational standards, identifying opportunities to streamline activities and enhance outcomes.
* Engage in proactive communication with senior management and stakeholders, preparing reports, submissions and briefings, and representing the division on committees.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external clients, industry and community groups to promote the organisation's profile.
Overall, this position requires strong leadership, strategic operational oversight and stakeholder engagement skills to deliver high‐quality, sustainable operational results while supporting Biosecurity Queensland's broader mission.
