Role Overview
In this role, the successful candidate will act as a key liaison between our customers and internal teams, managing all aspects of contract manufacturing projects—from initial requirements through to production handover. The role requires a proactive individual with a can-do attitude, strong technical capability, and a passion for delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the primary point of contact for customers engaging in contract manufacturing projects.
* Manage and maintain technical documentation, capturing critical customer requirements and verifying them through First Article Inspection (FAI).
* Oversee panelisation and stencil design, ensuring all layouts adhere to Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
* Support PCB fabrication setup, including the development of PCB Fabrication Specifications (PFS).
* Coordinate component sourcing and box build activities, ensuring alignment with production schedules and quality standards.
* Collaborate closely with procurement and supply chain teams to maintain clarity, communication, and continuity.
* Document and continuously improve onboarding processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.
* Utilize Altium Designer to prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and detailed work instructions for PCB assembly.
* Generate and manage routing and process documentation for PCB and unit assembly.
* Contribute positively to team culture through a collaborative mindset and solution-focused approach.
Qualifications and Experience
* Prior experience in electronics manufacturing, contract manufacturing, product industrialisation, or related engineering fields (electronics or mechanical).
* A minimum of 2-4 years of electronics manufacturing experience is required.
* Proven ability in technical documentation and writing (work instructions, specifications, SOPs).
* Strong understanding of PCBA manufacturing processes, electronic component types, and production workflows.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships internally and externally.
* A can-do, positive attitude with strong attention to detail and a structured, systems-driven mindset.
* Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
* Proficiency in Altium Designer and FAB 3000 is essential.
* Experience using ERP software is essential.
* Experience in commissioning builds and managing process handovers will be highly regarded.
* Candidates must have Australian work rights as no sponsorship is available.
