About the Company
A progressive building services consultancy with a reputation for quality and innovation is expanding its team. They deliver sustainable electrical design solutions across commercial, residential, education, and healthcare projects and are now looking for an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their Fareham office.
Role Summary
You will be part of a collaborative team of engineers, contributing to the design and delivery of electrical systems. Working alongside senior engineers, you’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of projects and be supported in your development towards chartership.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems: power, lighting, fire alarms, data/communications, and security.
- Produce detailed design calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications in line with UK standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated MEP solutions.
- Attend site surveys, liaise with contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with building regulations, BS 7671, and CIBSE standards.
- Contribute to technical documentation and tender packages.
- Keep up to date with new technologies, regulations, and sustainable design practices.
Candidate Profile
- Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- 2–5 years’ experience in building services design (consultancy or contracting).
- Skilled in AutoCAD and electrical design software (Revit desirable).
- Solid understanding of UK wiring regulations and sustainability principles.
- Solid communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ambition to develop professionally and progress towards chartership.
