We are opening a small and mighty coffee shop in Kurmond, and we are looking for a coffee focussed manager to lead from the front.
We will be a takeaway only coffee window, and will be aiming to capture morning commuters, and create a community vibe amongst a quaint row of local shops.
Most of your time will be spent working on shift, connecting with many new customers, learning their names and usual orders, and of course, making excellent coffee.
We will allow some extra admin time for ordering, rostering, among other duties that need to be performed while not working on the tools.
This will be determined by how busy the store becomes over time.

We will be offering a small and mighty food and pastry menu, so there will be some light cooking required.
The food menu is still in development, but might involve making toasties, sandwiches, light meals, heating croissants.
This is an opportunity for someone to take a sense of ownership over this shop, come up with new food and drink menu items, and be a part of growing the business.
If you are keen to open your own coffee shop one day or just interested in business, this is a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running a shop.
Responsibilities
Making excellent, consistent coffee and other drinks in a timely manner.
Learning customer names and their usual orders (if you aren't great at remembering names, that's ok, all we are asking is for you to try, it's the effort that counts).
Ordering stock, creating and maintaining a roster.
Managing the shop; full time role but open to part time 4 days a week FTE, or 4x long days.
For the right person who can empower their team, we would prefer you working the days you would like to.
Opening hours are currently not set, but we are focusing on morning commuter traffic, early starts anywhere from 5am-7am.
Qualifications
A minimum of 6-12 months barista and coffee making experience is required.
Food Safety Certificate (FSS) mandatory.
If you do not have this we can offer this as part of your role.
Management experience is preferred, however if you have experience in coffee and are willing to learn how to lead, we are willing to offer training for the right candidate.
