About the role
We are looking for a disability support worker to provide support to clients around Southern Perth Regions including Rockingham, Mandurah, Port Kennedy and Mandurah areas who lives independently in the community. A day supporting our client can include:
* Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support
* Providing psychosocial support
* Providing support and transport for people to access and participate as a valued member of their community.
* Assisting with personal care
* Domestic assistance such as cleaning,
About you
You'll be caring, kind, warm and reliable. You'll share our values and be wanting to make a difference, and you'll:
* A genuine passion for making a difference in someone's life
* Extensive experience working in the mental health space
* Ability to work collaboratively with both the internal and external teams to provide consistency to our client
* You will enjoy communicating with a variety of people and are a good listener.
* Have a full driver's licence and access to a road worthy vehicle (that is registered with Third Party Insurance)
* Satisfactory National Police Clearance (issued within the last six months)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Certificate III in Community Care, Individualised Supports or Disability is desirable.
* Current First Aid Certificate or ability to obtain.
