$43.67 to $56.72 per hour (based on discipline and experience) + salary packaging | Mental Health Clinician - Youth (Ararat)

Permanent Full Time | 80 hours per fortnight including a monthly ADO

About The Role

Join a dynamic multidisciplinary team supporting young people aged 15-24 with mental health challenges across the Grampians region. Work closely with senior clinicians and the Lived and Living Experience Workforce to deliver recovery focused, family inclusive, evidence based care. This role offers meaningful responsibility and the chance to make a real difference in community mental health, with opportunities for ongoing professional development and clinical supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Assess mental health and risk to prioritise care and referralsTreat a caseload as primary clinician using evidence-based methodsDevelop, implement, and review treatment plans addressing biopsychosocial needsInvolve families actively in treatment deliveryCollaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary teamMaintain accurate clinical records respecting privacy and confidentiality

Skills & Experience

Relevant health qualification (psychology, nursing, social work, OT); AHPRA registration where applicableValid Victorian driver’s licence and Working with Children CheckExperience with evidence-based, family inclusive treatment for youth mental healthStrong mental health assessment and clinical formulation skillsKnowledge of trauma informed care and relevant legislation
