Job Opportunity
This role encompasses engineering leadership and expertise for substation designs, driving the technical development of our Secondary Design team, and ensuring the effective implementation of policies and procedures.
Main Responsibilities
* We are seeking a specialist engineer to provide high-level design and advisory services for zone substations, industrial substations, and distributed generation network connections.
* The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and improving processes to achieve optimal productivity, efficiency, and quality outcomes.
* A key aspect of this role is to ensure that all designs consider the entire asset lifecycle.
* The chosen individual will take ownership and liaise with stakeholders to produce formal responses and reports.
* They will also monitor and approve engineering solutions and proposals.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) or equivalent qualification.
* Professional Engineer registration with the relevant authority.
* Chartered Engineer or National Engineering Registration.
* Registered Professional Engineer of Victoria or Queensland.
Key Technical Expertise
Expertise in designing within AutoCAD and delivering solutions to complex problems using engineering principles.
Strong knowledge of protection and control systems, integration of renewable power generation, and new technologies.
Detailed understanding of regulatory requirements, OH&S Act, and Australian Standards.
Technical lead experience in a project delivery environment.
