**THE APPRENTICESHIP**
Have you ever pulled apart an engine just to put it back together again, or have you ever wanted to switch from working on your car to something a lot bigger? Becoming a **Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprentice** could be just what you are chasing.
Undertaking this **four-year apprenticeship** will give you the opportunity to become a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic and earn your **Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology (AUR31116)**.
You will be working alongside experienced tradesmen assisting in the repair and servicing of refrigerated road transport vehicles used for supply to the major retailer and food service channels. Your duties will be varied and include amongst others working on engines, transmissions, fuel systems, brakes, suspension units, ignition and electrical systems as well as being involved in safety and roadworthy inspections.
This position is based in a workshop in **Ormeau** where you will be hosted with a highly respected company that partners with many of the largest food and beverage companies across Australia.

**WHO SHOULD APPLY?**
We are looking for a mechanically minded individual who has a keen interest in the trade, has good problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and good communication skills. If you have gained a Certificate II in Automotive Technology, have some experience working on vehicles, or just passionate about learning this trade then we would be keen to hear from you.
