**The Role**
The **_Category Manager - Toys (Swim & Outdoor) _**role brings the BIG W strategy to life by creating Toy category strategies, the curation of the best range and creating value for our customers. This ambition leads to maximising sales, profit and customer satisfaction and optimised inventory. Your new role is an integral part of the Toys Team which will see you coaching, mentoring and developing team members to be forward thinking and agile in our approach to supporting our customers.
Other key responsibilities will include:
- Build the category strategy by gaining a thorough understanding of customer insights & the market to contribute to the BIG W strategy
- Lead in curating ranges, refine pricing and promotion channel plan in line with category strategy, using customer and market insights to ensure it's aligned to BIG W strategies.
- Partner with Suppliers to build relationships and optimise value creation in category to increase sales, profit and customer advocacy
- Partner with BIGW Asia & Brand Co Team to maximise own brand offers, create new ranges and grow customer advocacy.
- Working end to end as one team across all support teams and broader Woolworths business.
- Partner with all relevant functions to plan and execute customer plan activities (Brochure, Online, Social, Sales Plan, Events Space)
- To ensure that all products ranged within the category are compliant to Australian consumer law.To ensure that all own brand and exclusive brand products are approved through the Big W QA processes prior to ranging of the product lines. To understand BIG W's New Product Development process as it relates to the products ranged within your category
**About You**

In addition, you will have:
- Five years previous experience in a category management role, ideally with toys category management and product development.
- Team player, who is able to deliver innovative and creative solutions for customers and teams
