Marine Crew - Iron Joy Fishing Charters
We are currently recruiting for additional crew to join us for the start of the 2026 Fishing Charter Season.
Deckhand and Cook / Host-Hostess positions are available on board extended offshore Charter Vessel, Iron Joy.
There is an opportunity for two new Deckhands and a Cook to join our team at Rob Benn Holdings Pty Ltd' in Gladstone, QLD 4680.
The successful candidates will have a passion for the hospitality industry and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and an outstanding charter experience for our guests.
All positions include House keeping and cleaning requirements which is shared between all crew onboard.
We are looking for candidates who are friendly with great customer service skills and Sober habits to join our enthusiastic team.
Applicants must be physically fit and able to work in marine conditions.
Fishing Charters are live aboard in shared crew accommodation for 7-10 nights at a time to Swain and Outer Coral Sea Reefs. Trips generally run Friday to Friday with same day turn around.
What you'll be doing
Deckhand:
1. Assisting the Master with the daily operation of the vessel and tenders, including watch keeping and cleaning requirements
1. Providing Friendly and attentive customer service to our guests
2. Maintaining a clean and safe deck space for our guests and crew
3. Fillet and processing of all catch for our guests to take home
4. Assisting the Cook with meal service and housekeeping
What we're looking for:
1. GPH or Coxswains with Previous experience is preferred and a definite advantage, but not a necessity. Training is definitely available for the right candidates.
Cook/Host/Hostess:
Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients
Providing friendly and attentive customer service to ensure guests have an enjoyable dining experience
Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
Assisting the other crew with Vessel housekeeping and cleaning requirements
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a cook or chef
Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work well in a team
A passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals
Attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and hygiene
A flexible and adaptable approach to work
