Customer Service Officer (10 Month Contract)

Wollongong Metro Office | Hybrid Working

Monday to Friday | Day shifts | Paid training

About The Role

In this frontline role, you'll support customers as they lodge insurance claims, providing calm, compassionate and professional service when it matters most. Working closely with your Sedgwick colleagues, you'll ensure customers and clients remain at the centre of everything you do while helping achieve timely and accurate outcomes.

Shift Options

This role operates Monday to Friday only, 9:00am–5:00pm.

Training & Hybrid Working

The first three weeks of training will be five days per week in our Wollongong metro office. Following this initial training period, the role will move to a hybrid working model, with three days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities

* Respond to customer insurance enquiries via phone and email
* Triage incoming calls and coordinate enquiries efficiently
* Collect and accurately process key customer information
* Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders
* Maintain professionalism and empathy in sensitive or stressful situations

About You

* Caring, empathetic and emotionally resilient
* Customer-focused and self-motivated
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
* A clear and confident communicator with strong organisational skills
* Competent with basic Microsoft Office applications
* Minimum of 1-2 years customer service experience preferred
