The role
BEP Engineering and Maintenance is seeking a driven and experienced Pump and Irrigation Sales Representative to join our team in Mackay, Queensland. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for driving sales and building strong relationships with customers in the agricultural and industrial sectors.
Key responsibilities
* Proactively identify and qualify new sales leads in the domestic pump and irrigation market
* Engage with existing and potential customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions
* Prepare and present professional sales proposals and technical specifications
* Negotiate sales contracts and close deals to meet revenue targets
* Provide post-sales support and ensure customer satisfaction
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competition and new product developments
* Collaborate with the technical and operations teams to deliver exceptional customer service
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years of proven sales experience in the pump, irrigation or related industrial equipment industry
* Strong technical knowledge of pump and irrigation systems, including design, installation and maintenance
* Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
* Customer-focused approach with the ability to build long-term relationships
* Motivated self-starter with a track record of achieving sales targets
* Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel within the local region
* 3-5 years of specific pump sales experience essential for this role
* 3-5 years of combined experience working with mining, industrial and agricultural businesses required
