Your Opportunity
This leadership role is responsible for successfully delivering high-quality tenancy, allocations and administration services across Mission Australia Housing in Tasmania, supporting both existing portfolios and future growth projects.
The Regional Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of housing services within the region, ensuring operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and exceptional tenant outcomes. The role plays a pivotal part in developing and leading high-performing teams, strengthening partnerships, and identifying new opportunities that enhance service delivery and community impact.
Working collaboratively across asset management, community development, service delivery and stakeholder engagement teams, this position builds strong relationships internally and externally — including with Local and State Government — to ensure integrated and sustainable housing solutions.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
* Lead and develop a values-driven, high-performing team through servant leadership aligned with Mission Australia's values and policies
* Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, productivity and customer focus
* Monitor and report on key operational metrics including tenancy inspections, rental arrears, waiting lists, vacancy rates and program performance
* Assess operational risks, implement mitigation, contingency plans and contribute to strategic and business planning processes
* Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, real estate agents, private owners, housing providers, government representatives and community partners
* Implement service improvements informed by data, tenant feedback and stakeholder insights
* Work within an integrated service framework that brings together Housing, Community Services and Chaplaincy teams
Requirements for Success
* Tertiary qualifications in Leadership, Community Services, or a related discipline (desirable), or equivalent senior leadership experience.
* Proven operational leadership experience within a service delivery environment.
* Experience in social or affordable housing highly regarded.
* Strategic and results-driven, with the ability to lead through complexity and change.
* Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and hold others accountable for outcomes.
* Confident communicator, able to translate complex information into clear direction.
* Commercially and operationally astute, with sound risk management judgement.
* Experience in housing, community services, or not-for-profit sectors will be highly regarded
* Valid Working with Vulnerable People Check
