Opportunity
We are looking for an up-and-coming Finance Manager who is ready to step into a broader leadership role. This is not a traditional "steady-state" finance role – it is hands‐on, commercial, and transformation‐focused. You will report and work closely with the CEO and leadership team to build capability, improve processes, and deliver meaningful financial insights that drive business performance. You will lead and be accountable for the finance function, managing a small team to support this scaling organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Finance Leadership & Team Management – Lead, mentor and develop a small finance team across finance operations; drive accountability, structure and capability uplift within the team; oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy, compliance and effective controls.
* Financial Operations & Systems Transformation – Lead migration from Reckon to Xero; improve accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of financial workflows.
* Reporting & Commercial Insights – Own monthly business performance reporting (labour ratios / operational metrics); monthly tax and compliance reporting; establish daily dashboard reporting; own cashflow forecasting and working capital management; lead annual budgeting and forecast models; oversee debtor management and collections performance.
About You
* 5–10 years' experience in a Finance Manager / Senior Accountant / Commercial Analyst role.
* Strong Xero capability (or proven experience transitioning systems).
* Advanced Excel / financial modelling skills.
* Highly hands‐on and operationally minded.
* Strong commercial acumen – you understand what drives business performance.
* A natural leader who wants to develop and lead a team.
