The Central Queensland Health Communication and Engagement team shapes how the health service communicates and maintains confidence. The team applies sound judgement to complex issues, priorities and change, helping staff, communities and stakeholders understand what is happening, why it matters and how it affects them.

About the role:
Deliver proactive media and communication strategies that support organisational priorities, improve public understanding and reinforce community confidence in health services.
Identify and develop high-value stories into coordinated content across media, digital, social and owned channels, ensuring clarity, accuracy and consistency of messaging.
Support timely and effective media liaison, including preparing media responses, key messages, briefing notes and Q&As, and assisting executives and clinical spokespeople with interview and announcement preparation.
Coordinate the preparation and distribution of strategic communication materials, including key messages, talking points, briefs and updates, for internal stakeholders, Ministerial and Departmental audiences, and partner organisations.
About you:
Candidates must demonstrate proven experience in media, public relations, strategic communication or similar roles.
While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations or other related field would be well regarded.
Demonstrated ability to produce clear, accurate and audience-appropriate media, digital and internal communication materials within required timeframes.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $12,731 p.m. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $63.04 - $67.53 p.h.
