NDIS Recreation Support Worker
This role involves providing support to participants with high support needs, facilitating small groups in activities, and creating a welcoming learning environment.
* The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and be willing to use their personal vehicle for transportation.
* A current Full Australian Driver's Licence is essential.
About the Role
In this casual position, you will work closely with participants to achieve positive outcomes such as employability skills, social skills, independence, personal development, improved quality of life, and enjoyment.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing individualised support to participants with complex needs
* Facilitating group sessions in recreational activities
* Creating a safe and inclusive environment for participants
* Effective communication and advocacy for participants and their employers
* Building strong relationships with clients, employers, and stakeholders
* Utilising problem-solving skills to assist clients maintain employment
* Basic administration and computer skills to record case notes
* Collaborating with case managers to support client goals
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities
* Ability to use personal vehicle for transportation
* Current Full Australian Driver's Licence
