About the Role
This role leads the design and development of a national maritime data architecture for a whole-of-government digital reporting platform. It focuses on translating complex regulatory requirements into coherent data models, standards and exchange structures to enable seamless data sharing between agencies and maritime stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop conceptual and logical data models for maritime reporting systems
* Translate regulatory requirements into structured data definitions and schemas
* Design and maintain reference data, code sets and controlled vocabularies
* Map data elements across agencies and align with international standards
* Design structured data exchange formats and transformation rules
* Define data governance, metadata, lineage and data quality frameworks
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience in conceptual and logical data modelling
* Ability to translate regulatory and business requirements into data structures
* Experience with data mapping, integration design and transformation rules
* Knowledge of reference data management and data harmonisation
* Experience working with enterprise data governance and metadata practices
* Strong communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
Please note the role is based in Canberra, no remote work is available, and candidates need to be in the Canberra office.
Australian Citizenship & Existing Baseline security clearance is a mandatory requirement for this position.
