The opportunity Min Res has had a rare opportunity arise at our Onslow Iron operation at Kens Bore on an 8x6 roster, we are seeking a experienced Senior Mining Geologist to join our team Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent you will be responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the Geology team.
Ensuring the Geology team always operates in a safe and sustainable manner, whilst developing and effectively communicate geological models, schedules and forecasts to enable sustainable delivery of the ore forecast.
Provides visible felt leadership, knowledge, and direction for the Geology team to meet business expectations and develop a continuous improvement culture.
Provide and drive a safe working environment that complies with site safety systems and relevant legislation.
Ensures the development and communication of short-term geological models, schedules, and forecasts and reconciliation for the operation.
Manages key relationships between Geology, Mining, Processing and Logistics, exploration and other key stakeholders Utilises compliance to plan and reconciliation routines to drive continuous improvement and maximise resource value.
Develop a culture of continuous improvement throughout the mine geology team to ensure adoption of fit for purpose best practice operations.
Enables an environment where diversity of thought is welcomed and people are encouraged to speak up.
Identifies, builds, and develops talent and capability, including succession of planning for key positions.
What is required? Tertiary Degree in Geology, Geoscience or relevant discipline Demonstrated experience working at a Senior Level within an Open-Pit Production environment, underground or exploration experience will not be considered Track record of leading and engaging a team to safely deliver outcomes that consistently meet or exceed targets Highly proficient in Surpac + GCX + Vulcan Software Acquire, Datashed, or similar database management software experience Experience planning, designing and executing RCGC programs Strong QA/QC reporting skills About Mineral Resources (Min Res) Min Res is a leading diversified resources company with extensive operations in lithium, iron ore, energy and mining services across Western Australia.
