Our client is a well-established hotel chain looking for General Hospitality Staff with great customer service skills to join their hotel.
We have multiple all-rounder hospitality positions covering the following duties:
1. Taking reservations, greeting and seating guests, and presenting them with menus and beverage lists
2. Setting and arranging tables
3. Taking food and beverage orders
4. Serving food and beverages
5. Recommending wine and drinks to complement food
6. Opening bottles and pouring beverages
7. Conducting wine, beer, and spirit tastings
8. Preparing, serving and selling cocktails, mixed drinks, bottled, canned and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and a variety of coffee beverages such as lattes, cappuccinos and other espresso-based beverages
9. Selecting and grinding coffee
10. Clearing bars and tables and returning dishes, glasses and cutlery to kitchen
11. Removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables and bars
12. Cleaning and maintaining bar service areas, coffee-making areas and espresso machines
13. Washing glassware and arranging bottles and glasses
14. Tapping kegs and attaching supply lines, replenishing drink dispensers, shelves and refrigerators
15. Collecting payments for sales and operating EFTPOS and cash registers
16. Promoting services and products
17. Stacking and displaying goods for sale
18. Preparing displays and presenting stock, including specials
ABOUT YOU:
1. Relevant qualifications in Hospitality at certificate II or above with at least 1 year of experience; or have at least 2 years of relevant work experience
2. Enthusiasm, tenacity, attention to detail and a positive, engaging approach to providing high-quality service
3. Demonstrated understanding of Australian food safety and HACCP, as required
4. Practice proper workplace health and safety procedures
5. Comply with relevant regulations
6. Availability to work weekends and public holidays as required within a rotating roster
7. Well presented, punctual and reliable
8. Ability to keep your section clean and organized with a good understanding of work flow and structure
9. Ability to prioritize and work under pressure
10. A passion for quality food and produce, and service
11. Current RSA and Police clearance
Salary range: $65,000-$75,000 per annum + superannuation.
