Waterproofing Compliance Inspector (Junior)
Waterproofing Integrity provides specialist waterproofing inspection, testing, and compliance services across commercial and infrastructure projects. We help clients meet standards, avoid defects, and deliver long-term performance.
Due to continued growth across Sydney and NSW/ACT, we are seeking an Entry‑Level Waterproofing Compliance Inspector to join our established Sydney team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently studying or recently graduated in Construction Management, Engineering, Building Surveying, Architecture, or a related discipline.
This role reports directly to the Consultant & Technical Manager and offers hands‑on industry experience, mentoring, and clear development pathways.
About the Role
As a Compliance Inspector, you will carry out onsite inspections, testing, and reporting on waterproofing systems across Sydney metro projects, with occasional travel to regional NSW/ACT.
This is a technical, site‑based learning role where you will be trained to:
* Interpret waterproofing details and standards
* Undertake various testing methodologies
* Identify defects, risks, and non‑compliant work
* Communicate findings to builders, contractors, and consultants
Full training is provided; no prior waterproofing experience required but will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct onsite inspections and diagnostic testing
* Assess compliance with Australian Standards and project specifications
* Prepare clear, accurate reports within required timeframes
* Manage assigned projects with support from senior team members
* Build positive working relationships with clients and contractors
* Demonstrate safe work practices onsite
What You Bring
* Currently studying or recently completed a qualification in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, Building Surveying, Architecture, or similar
* Interest in learning about waterproofing, construction quality, and compliance
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence interacting with site personnel and project stakeholders
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to varying site demands
* Experience in commercial or infrastructure construction (advantageous but not required)
* Valid Australian Driver's Licence + reliable vehicle
* White Card
