Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will work collaboratively with your State Management peers nationwide to drive field sales force effectiveness and profitable sales returns across commercial, residential, and retail routes to market.
**Your Responsibilities...**
- P&L responsibility - managing top and bottom line - expenses, debtors, revenue, sales pipeline etc
- Managing the performance of the sales team - KPI's training and mentoring
- Negotiating with key clients and leveraging your networks in the building industry
- Forecasting
- Pricing and margin management
- Managing the specification process and monitoring sales pipelines and conversion rates
- Working closely with your builders' team to negotiate profitable outcomes and market share
- Driving retail and trade sales via your sales executives in the field
- Being an effective middleman between sales and the operations/manufacturing team
**You bring to the table...**
- Able to manage a sales team of at least 10-15 people
- Previous experience in consumer durables or the building industry or retail hardware would be well regarded.
- Commercially astute and good with driving an MS Excel spreadsheet - you love the numbers!
- Driving sales via being organised, holding your team accountable and using your influence with customers, along with coaching to grow the skill set of your team
- Strategy development and execution for NSW & ACT
- Working "hands-on" with your sales team and visiting key clients
- Previous experience in consumer durables or the building industry or retail hardware would be well regarded.
