We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to support our National EHS requirements.
About the Role
This position is responsible for facilitating and influencing stakeholder managers in planning, developing, and implementing safety programs to meet business plans and corporate goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement EHS objectives and targets: This includes creating and managing action plans, monitoring progress, and reporting on status updates.
* Monitor and report on action plan status and updates: Regularly review and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulations.
* Provide guidance on EHS matters: Offer expert advice on hazard identification, risk assessments, legislation interpretation, and document review and development.
* Aid in conducting investigations and lead incident investigations when required: Conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes of incidents and implement corrective actions.
* Conduct regular site safety observations: Identify and address potential hazards and risks to ensure a safe working environment.
* Report and communicate safety performance, safety observations, and actions: Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to drive improvement and inform decision-making.
* Monitor, plan, and deliver housekeeping, compliance, and upkeep of facilities: Ensure all sites are well-maintained, compliant with regulations, and free from hazards.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will require:
* Minimum 3 years of experience: In a safety role within manufacturing or similar complex industries.
* Certificate IV in WHS (OHS): Proven knowledge and understanding of occupational health and safety principles and practices.
* Incident Investigation – ICAM (desirable): Familiarity with Incident Cause Mapping (ICAM) methodologies and tools.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (desirable): Experience in training and assessing staff on safety protocols and procedures.
* Solid working knowledge: Of WHSE technical and legislative requirements, including laws and regulations.
* Experience in implementing change: Proven ability to foster a WHSE-focused culture within an organization.
* Understanding of systems: For monitoring, managing, and analyzing WHSE performance data.
