About the Role
An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic and energetic individual to join our Kalgoorlie business as a Vehicle Systems Technician. In this exciting role you will be performing repairs to fire protection and detection systems that are fitted on machinery and vehicles. This role is integral to the Vehicle Systems team and may involve some on-call work to meet customer demands.
Ideally, you will reside full-time in Kalgoorlie and receive an accommodation allowance. However, FIFO ex Perth will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
* Servicing and installation of a wide variety of fire protection and fire suppression systems on machinery and vehicles, in accordance with Australian Standards.
* Identification of non-compliant items with customer assets.
* High level of customer service, positive attitude and professional interaction with customers.
* Strict adherence to environmental health and safety policy and procedures.
* Performing all assigned work within required time frames, tolerance and budget.
* Proficient use of Smart device technology and applications.
What We Are Looking For
We are ideally looking for an individual with previous Fire Systems Experience and/or a Trade Background (preferably Mechanical in nature) who is hard working and can work effectively with minimal supervision.
Other key qualities we are looking for include:
* Mechanical aptitude with a strong focus on safety
* Effective written and verbal communication skills along with great customer service
* Strong focus on quality and client satisfaction
* An ability to work under pressure and achieve deadlines
* Good personal presentation
* White Card
* Current Driver's Licence
