We are seeking qualified and experienced PAINTERS to join our dedicated and hardworking team.
Responsibilities
* Read blueprints/instructions, examine, and understand surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
* Make work preparation such as scaffolding, covering fixtures.
* Mix, match, and apply paint to various surfaces, and complete touch‐ups, ensuring work meets specifications.
* Mix correct ratio two‐part paint coatings, etc., with proper utilisation of consumables and materials to avoid wastage.
* Select paints, varnishes, and stains for various surfaces using brushes, sprays, and rollers.
* Use Wet Film Thickness Gauges to achieve specified dry film thickness.
* Carry out minor repairs as necessary and use different tools and brushes to apply paints with attention to detail.
* Work at heights and in confined spaces, set up scaffolding/ladders, protect surrounding areas, and clean up the work area.
* Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
* Support other team members to ensure completion of projects on time and in accordance to specification.
* Follow safety regulations in handling hazardous materials appropriately.
Qualifications
* Trade Certificate – Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent (for Blaster/Painters).
* Experience with various painting techniques, tools, and materials.
* High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift.
* Trade Qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certificates).
* HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift, Drivers Licence (MR or HR class).
* Understand colour mixing and application techniques.
* Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
* Ability to meet strict deadlines.
* Strong communication skills.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Self‐motivated, organised, punctual and reliable.
* Must have great work ethics.
Salary: Between $75,000 and $80,000 per annum + Super.
