Governance coordinator: secretariat support specialist

This is a Part-time Governance Role with a focus on providing excellent secretariat support to the Strategic Leadership Team.

The ideal candidate will have enthusiasm and experience supporting senior managers at an executive level, proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly SharePoint, and strong written expression with minute-taking skills for Boards or governance committees.

We are seeking a skilled coordinator who can work effectively in a large complex organization, with a good understanding of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and its implications for our work.

About this role:

* Perform administrative, advisory, and secretariat tasks to support the SLTs governance committees.

* Work directly with the Ministry's Strategic Leadership Team to provide great secretariat support.

Salary and employment details:

The appointing salary for this role will be between $59,729 and $80,794 based on skills and experience. This is a part-time role, with flexible work hours where possible.

Key requirements:

* Enthusiasm and experience supporting senior managers at an executive level.

* Proficiency in SharePoint and Microsoft Office.

* Good written expression, particularly experience with minute taking for Boards or governance committees.

* Discretion and customer focus including a high degree of confidentiality and good judgment.

* A working knowledge of the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and the implications of these for the work of Te Tāhū o te Ture – Ministry of Justice.

* Experience working in a large complex organisation is preferred.
