Key Infrastructure Design Coordinator Role

As the crucial link between the design and construction teams on a major wastewater upgrade program, you will be responsible for resolving technical issues, coordinating shop drawings and field changes, and ensuring that construction proceeds smoothly and efficiently.
* Coordinate design inputs with construction teams to ensure constructability and buildability.
* Run weekly engineering coordination meetings and prioritise RFIs, residual scope, and site instructions.
* Manage shop drawings and as-built documentation in line with construction schedule.
* Oversee integration of sub-systems and service layouts (CSD).
* Coordinate vendor and subcontractor technical deliverables.
* Centralise and report field changes and escalate unresolved technical issues.
* Maintain alignment of design and construction throughout program lifecycle.
Requirements:
* Degree qualified in Engineering (Civil, Structural, or similar)
* 5+ years' experience with Tier 1/Tier 2 contractors on large infrastructure or water projects
* Experience in design coordination and constructability reviews
* Solid understanding of BIM processes and document control platforms (e.g. SharePoint)
* Proactive communicator, skilled in cross-discipline collaboration
* High attention to detail, strong planning and prioritisation skills
* Strong communication skills required to be successful in this role
