What You'll Do!
As a Graduate Civil Engineer at Northrop, you will begin your civil engineering career making a real impact on the places where people live, work, and play. You'll work on real projects with real responsibility, designing civil infrastructure across subdivisions, community civil projects, sporting venues, and road projects. You'll get hands‐on experience with road, earthworks, stormwater, sewer and water, and flooding design – learning everything from concept through to construction. You'll be mentored by our Senior Engineers, participate in site investigations, learn industry‐standard software like 12D, DRAINS and MUSIC, and contribute to meaningful projects that directly impact Australia. You won't just observe – you'll contribute! At Northrop, you're not just another graduate – you're our future.

* Graduates completing or recently completing a Bachelor of Civil Engineering
* Previous experience as an Undergraduate Civil Engineer
* Interest in stormwater and road design

* Gabba Stadium – Upgrade project ($27 million) focused on user and public friendliness for upcoming test matches and AFL games.
* Qantas Founders Museum Airpark Roof – Development of a new 9 000 m2 canopy at the QANTAS Founders Museum, Longreach.
* University of Southern Queensland F Block Refurbishment – Transformation of a single‐storey civil engineering lab into a two‐storey teaching space.
* Pappinbarra Bridge – New single‐lane structure capable of supporting SM1600 design loading in accordance with AS5100.
* Gore Hill Data Centre (NSW) – Civil design supporting a resilient digital infrastructure hub.
* Stromlo Leisure Centre (ACT) – Civil design for a major community aquatic and recreation precinct.
* TAFE IATC (ACT) – Civil and structural solutions supporting the future of Australia's construction workforce.
