Neurological Physiotherapy Geelong (NPG) delivers high-quality physiotherapy and exercise physiology services to people living with a neurological condition and people with vertigo, dizziness, concussion or balance disorders. We take pride in our staff having advanced skills and knowledge, and are committed to our values of excellence, collaboration, compassion, respect and passion. We are seeking a vestibular physiotherapist who shares our values and is committed to ongoing development.
At NPG we offer clinic-based vestibular and concussion services from our purpose-built rehabilitation facility in South Geelong. We treat people with neurological conditions both in clinic and in the community. Our clients have access to state-of-the-art assessment and rehabilitation equipment, and our staff an amazing home where we can collaborate as a team. We have 5 clinic rooms and a large open gym space, creating a strong sense of community for our team. We work with people funded privately or by NDIS, TAC, WorkSafe, Home Care Plans, DVA and Medicare. We have recently invested in an ICS Impulse (vestibular function testing goggles and software), which allows us to quantify visual and vestibular assessments such as vHIT, significantly improving our assessment accuracy, clinical reasoning and treatment effectiveness. We are the first private physiotherapy practice in Victoria to offer ICS Impulse testing as part of our vestibular service. On-the-job training will be provided to the successful applicant to use this new system and software.
For this position, we are seeking someone with a minimum 1-2 years' experience in vestibular physiotherapy, with a strong background in either neurological or musculoskeletal physiotherapy. The successful applicant will use well developed assessment and clinical reasoning skills to determine the most appropriate and effective management. This role will be well supported by a Director and our Clinical Lead physiotherapists.
A comprehensive internal professional development and supervision structure exists, alongside a generous professional development allowance and leave for external courses and conferences such as NOTSA. This supports both our priority of ongoing learning and excellent clinical care, and the applicant's knowledge and skill development in vestibular physiotherapy and leadership.
Most importantly, at NPG we guarantee a workplace that is nurturing, fun and creative. We have a monthly team wellbeing activity, a personal wellbeing allowance, support a healthy work life balance and offer an additional week of purchased annual leave. We love to share ideas, learn from one another, have a laugh and enjoy the amazing career of vestibular physiotherapy.
