The Role
We are seeking an educator with a genuine commitment to supporting students with disabilities, whoutilisesreflective practice and responsiveness to individual needs. The successful applicant should ideally be flexible and adaptable, capable of delivering engagement programs for students at educational risk, including those facing attendance challenges. They should ideally be able to implement whole-class, small group, individualised, and remote learning programs as needed. Experience with Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), self-regulation strategies, escalation profiles, and behaviour intervention planning would be highly regarded.
The successful applicant would ideally deliver high-quality, purposeful, and engaging learning programs with a focus on developing students' functional literacy, numeracy, communication, and independence skills. Learning programs will be individualised to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with ASD and complex learning profiles.
Applicants with experience working in a primary school context for literacy and numeracy, and that have extensive experience of students with autism with complex high needs as well as communication and behavioural challenges would be highly regarded.
