**The opportunity**
The Service Delivery Manager is a newly created role, central to building our team in Perth and supporting our expanding Western Australian business. The Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for the overall operation, service delivery and driver management, including providing day-to-day operational advice and support to the wider team, fleet and driver allocations, delivery of services, fleet presentation and depot management. This role has considerable scope for growth and commences at an exciting time as the business unit expands.
**What you will be doing**:
- Provide leadership to your team aligned with Company Values, demonstrating excellence in people management and aligning your team to business objectives.
- Undertake regular driving shifts to meet operational requirements.
- Provide daily operational support and management of the delivery of services including allocation of drivers and fleet.
- Assist in recruitment and selection for drivers and depot staff.
- Work collaboratively with the Sales & Growth team to facilitate confirmed service bookings and execute service delivery in an efficient, safe and cost-effective manner.
- Ensure fleet maintenance and presentation is of a high standard including implementing and maintaining a fleet cleaning and detailing schedule.
- Management and allocation of resources, including headcount, planned leave, absenteeism and day to day employee availability to deliver business operations
- Drive customer service, actively cultivating a customer focuses culture and manage customer needs
- Integral in implementing and managing a safe work environment in accordance with business requirements
- Continuous engagement with staff to seek feedback and create a highly engaged workforce
- Ensure a high level of depot presentation, including regular audits to ensure standards are being achieved
- Assist with facility management and maintenance, including organising vendors and contractors
Some of the skills/experience you may bring:
- Strong customer service focus with demonstrated experience in team leadership and stakeholder management and be able to adapt to changes in the business including the scaling up or down of the operation
- Demonstrated experience in building high performing teams.
- Experience in a similar role with an understanding of passenger transport and charter service industry
- A Growth mindset and the ability to work in an agile environment
- High-level knowledge of operational systems and logistics functions.
- High level of initiative and demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement in making quick decisions
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated enthusiastic approach to day-to-day business operations
- Current HR licence as driving buses is required (or willingness to obtain)
- A valid State Driving Authority and Working with Children's Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Nationally recognised First Aid and CPR certificates or willingness to obtain.
- Strong computer literacy, MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Internal systems.
