Design & Build has partnered with a builder specialising in the delivery of wholesale detached housing and townhomes across the Melbourne region. They set the standards with their delivery, and have an exciting year ahead with a number of projects in the pipeline.
Given their success and ongoing work, they are looking to bring on an Estimator to their team that holds medium-density experience and most importantly a positive attitude.
About The Role
* Complete take-offs and collate tender pricing
* Analyse, negotiate and revise inclusions with trade and contractor pricing
* Ensure the efficient and accurate production of building estimates
* Check contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction
* Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
* Complete quantity take-offs for building materials & labour
* Compile and issue purchase orders
* Perform estimating associated administrative duties
Skills & Experience:
* Experience working on Medium-Density projects (Townhouses) Demonstrated experience as an estimator within residential construction (volume experience suitable)
* Ability to prioritise work, manage timeframes and hit deadlines
* Strong communication skills
* Sound knowledge of the construction process and industry standards
* Proficiency with Databuild or Business Craft is essential
