You will collaborate with talented professionals within a respectful and inclusive culture, sharing a common purpose.About the Role & Team: Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Compliance & Assurance, this role provides operational support and advisory services to ensure compliance management is integrated into business plans and daily operations. You will support the organization in evaluating and improving governance, risk management, and internal control processes, fostering a strong compliance culture and continuous improvement. This role is vital in maintaining operational resilience, excellence, and sustainability, ensuring compliance and best practices.Responsibilities & Accountabilities:Support development, implementation, and review of compliance and corporate governance policiesAssist with statutory reporting and regulatory audits under the Electricity Infrastructure Investment Act 2020 (NSW)Establish and maintain systems to ensure compliance with relevant legislationProvide advice on compliance improvementsWork with business units to adopt compliance frameworks and enhance oversightSupport the maturity of the three lines model for effective oversightAssist in regulatory and third-party audits, promoting transparency and continuous improvementBuild relationships with stakeholders, providing guidance and recommendationsPrepare reports on compliance risk management for management and boardDevelop and deliver compliance training and education materialsParticipate in the Risk & Compliance Community of PracticeMaintain the Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) IT system and related processesSkills and Experiences:Experience in risk management/regulatory compliance, preferably in a medium/large organizationUnderstanding of Line 2 risk & compliance activities in complex organizationsStrong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skillsCritical analysis and decision-making abilitiesAbility to manage priorities and work independently in a dynamic environmentAnalytical problem-solving skills with attention to detailTertiary qualification in business, finance, legal, or risk (desirable but not essential)Interest in the energy sector and its opportunities and challengesWe support a hybrid, flexible workplace and welcome applications from any Australian location.
