Kalgoorlie-Boulder
The People and Culture Office
CEO

Offer description

Opportunities like this come along almost… never. Goldfields Women’s Health Care Centre (GWHCC) recently celebrated its 40th birthday and has built a strong legacy in the Goldfields community and the sector statewide. But change is inevitable, and the Centre is looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who can lead us through our transition to the future.

For four decades, GWHCC has supported the physical, emotional, and social wellbeing of women across the Goldfields through a range of programs and services - from Well Women’s Clinics and mental health counselling to perinatal support, health promotion, and advocacy. The Centre plays a vital role in ensuring women in the Goldfields region have access to the same standard of care, respect, and opportunity as those in metropolitan areas.

You’ll step into a respected leadership role - one held for more than a decade by someone deeply valued - and bring your own stamp to it. This is your opportunity to lead a Centre with deep community roots into its next chapter; one that’s sustainable, connected, and future-ready.

The job
As CEO, you’ll steer GWHCC’s strategic and operational direction, balancing purpose with pragmatism. You’ll lead a passionate team delivering essential health and wellbeing services including Well Women’s Clinics, counselling, education programs, and community initiatives. You’ll work closely with a robust and supportive Board to secure funding, strengthen partnerships, and ensure the Centre continues to thrive.

You’ll:

- Lead and develop the team to deliver high-quality, accessible health and wellbeing services

- Build partnerships and funding relationships that keep the Centre sustainable and visible

- Drive strategy, compliance, and community impact with courage, care, and integrity

You
You’re a leader with grit and heart, someone who can see the big picture and make it happen. You’ve led community or health services before and understand the realities of funding, partnerships and people. You’re calm under pressure, savvy with resources, and inspired by the chance to lead meaningful change.

To be successful as our CEO you’ll bring:

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal capability, with the confidence to engage thoughtfully and build trust across diverse stakeholders

- Proven leadership preferably in the community or health sector

- Strong stakeholder and funding relationship management

- Strategic thinking and operational know-how

Why us
GWHCC is purpose-driven and values-led - built on trust, respect, and inclusion. You’ll be supported by a strong Board, a capable and committed team, and a community that believes in what we do. This role offers the scope to grow, influence, and leave a lasting legacy in one of WA’s most unique and connected regions.

In return, we offer a competitive salary in the range of $135,000 - $150,000 (based on sector experience and leadership capability), access to a motor vehicle, the ability to increase your take-home pay through salary packaging, and a genuinely supportive environment where your leadership will be valued.

How to apply
To apply, upload your resume demonstrating your capability, skill and industry experience to our external HR Business Partner, The People & Culture Office. Applications close 5pm Wednesday 3 December 2025.We’ll begin shortlisting as applications come in, so the position may close earlier than advertised.

Please submit your application through the process outlined. To keep things fair and consistent for everyone, we ask that you don’t contact GWHCC staff or Board members directly about the role. The President may reach out to potential candidates as part of the search, but all applications must go through the formal recruitment process.
