About Us:

Peninsula Directional Drilling is a trusted provider of trenchless technology solutions across Victoria. We specialize in directional drilling, non-destructive digging (NDD), underground utility installation, and civil construction services. With a growing portfolio of projects and a strong reputation in the industry, we're looking to expand our experienced and hardworking team.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Underground Utility Operator to join our field operations team. This hands-on role includes operating drilling and excavation equipment, locating underground services, assisting with NDD operations, driving work trucks, and performing general labour tasks. While based primarily on the Mornington Peninsula, this role may involve travel across the state for projects.

Key Responsibilities:
* Operate directional drilling and excavation equipment safely and efficiently

* Perform non-destructive digging (NDD) using vacuum excavation units

* Locate and identify underground services prior to drilling or excavation

* Conduct trenching, backfilling, and site restoration as needed

* Assist with loading/unloading equipment and materials

* Drive and maintain company vehicles and machinery (HR/MR license advantageous)

* Follow safety procedures, traffic management plans, and environmental standards

* Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members

* Support project delivery through various general labour duties

Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in underground boring or directional drilling (preferred but not essential)

* Valid driver's licence (HR or MR licence preferred)

* White Card (Construction Induction)

* Ability to read plans and locate underground services

* Strong work ethic with a willingness to travel when required

* Physically fit and capable of working in outdoor conditions

* Commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous learning
