Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the operations of our Front of House, ensuring adherence to the standards set by our Directorship. The successful candidate will manage all Food & Beverage service aspects, supervise Front of House staff, and uphold the systems and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee and execute all Food & Beverage functions, systems, and standard operating procedures.
- Staff Training: Facilitate training for Bar and Front of House staff in areas including service execution, standard operating procedures, product knowledge, and responsible service of alcohol.
- Financial Oversight: Manage rostering, labour costs, budgeting, and achieve staff wage percentage target.
- Beverage Management: Ensure correct beverage execution to meet cost percentage targets and continuously develop and improve the beverage menu
- Inventory Control: Oversee stock receiving, storage, and control procedures.
- Financial Procedures: Manage accounts payable, adhering to company spending and ordering guidelines.
- Wine Service: Execute wine service and training as devised by the Sommelier.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Oversee the training and execution of all Food & Beverage related SOPs, including stock handling, opening and closing procedures, guest relations, and safety considerations.
- Team Collaboration: Liaise with the Operations Manager, Kitchen Team, and Sommelier to facilitate successful cooperation and generate materials for EDM.
- Guest Service: Drive the highest standard of guest service and maintain positive guest relations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and proper operations of all Bar equipment, ensuring correct training for all staff.
- Intellectual Property: Protect the intellectual property of the company and the venue.
- Inventory Management: Oversee and manage weekly stock and inventory on-site and in the storage room.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management, preferably in a similar setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of Food & Beverage operations and standard operating procedures.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.
- Ability to develop and implement training programs.
- Commitment to exceptional guest service.
