Applecross Senior High School's (SHS) goal is to encourage young people to achieve their potential through the value and enjoyment of learning. We aim to widen students' horizons by presenting a diverse, relevant and contemporary curriculum that will prepare them to thrive in an ever changing society. The curriculum reflects our desire for students to become responsible and flexible thinkers who will be well prepared for the challenges ahead. We offer an innovative curriculum with the provision of a range of study options for senior students, including a full tertiary entrance program and a wide variety of vocational courses.

Roles at our school include Head of Learning Area, Second in Charge, Teacher in Charge, Year Coordinator and Program Coordinator. We seek motivated applicants with a passion for teaching Humanities and Social Science (HASS) at the secondary level, possessing a solid understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum. In your role as a HASS teacher, you should deliver a curriculum tailored to the diverse needs of all students, fostering an environment where every student is empowered to reach their full potential. Your dedication to academic excellence and high-quality teaching and learning will set the standard for our learning community.

Qualifications and Skills
* Solid understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum and HASS subject knowledge for secondary levels.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Ability to reflect on teaching practice and implement differentiation and evidence-based decision-making.
