Skillset in partnership with a Leading Diesel Engine Reconditioning company is seeking applications for their new Fitter Machinist Apprentice in Orange, NSW.
About the Role
During the four-year apprenticeship, the successful candidate will complete a Certificate III in Engineering-Mechanical Trade while gaining valuable hands-on experience alongside industry experts. You will have the opportunity to learn a highly sought after and skilled position, using a variety of machines and equipment to build and recondition a variety of diesel engines.
Duties
Accurately inspect, measure and test components
Operate engineering and machining tools and equipment
Machine components using various equipment
Follow work procedures, focusing on quality and safety
Contribute to Quality Management
Maintain a clean workspace
Skills and Experience
Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
Passion and interest in component machining
Hold a Forklift Licence (or willing to obtain)
Hold a Class C P1 Drivers Licence (or working towards)
