Support Professional
This role contributes to consumers' health outcomes by working within an effective multidisciplinary team through their recovery journey at a Mental Health Inpatient Unit.
The Role Responsibilities
* Provide support and assistance to nursing staff in relation to patient care and safety.
* Promote quality healthcare and customer service, and foster a positive environment for patient outcomes.
You will need to:
* Assist with general patient care, supervision, and psychiatric emergencies.
* Participate in seclusion and restraint procedures under authorized training.
* Assist with cleaning duties, bed changing, toileting, showering, and bathing patients.
* Develop knowledge of patient support equipment and assist with staff familiarization.
In addition, you will be required to develop strong communication skills to work effectively with various stakeholders. This position involves:
* Maintaining accurate records of patient information and activities.
* Providing emotional support and reassurance to patients during challenging times.
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
