Product Owner – Everyday Spending
Retail Banking Services (RBS) delivers a seamless banking experience for our 10 million+ customers.
Within RBS, the Everyday Banking domain manages product lines that help customers transact and save.
The Everyday Spending squad is part of the Everyday Products Crew and owns Retail Payments and Retail Foreign Exchange products.
Do Work That Matters
As the Product Owner and lead of the value stream, you will
Responsibilities
Define, communicate and mobilise the product vision, strategy and customer value proposition for retail payments and foreign exchange products, including debit cards, multi-currency accounts and foreign cash services.
Lead cross-functional teams in the design, development and launch of new products, features and process improvements, while managing a prioritised backlog.
Manage performance against OKRs to drive product outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers and partners.
Obsess over the spending and payment customer experience, actively seeking voice of the customer to improve service offerings across all channels and segments.
Develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high-quality output.
Manage senior business and technical stakeholders to ensure that prioritisation aligns.
Maintain a positive risk culture, ensuring adherence to CBA policies, including the Operational and Supplier Risk Management Framework.
Ensure projects are delivered with a focus on executional excellence and the Group Delivery Framework, proactively managing change-associated risks.
Qualifications
Proven product owner or executive manager experience, leading teams to high performance.
Prior experience in product management is beneficial.
Strong commercial acumen with a passion for identifying growth opportunities and building sustainable businesses.
Experience defining product roadmap and delivering product vision.
Demonstrated ability to strategically problem-solve.
Proven track record of delivering strategic change in an agile environment.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship-building skills.
Effective relationship management, particularly with external business partners.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to senior executive levels.
Prior experience working with onshore & offshore mixed squads.
A wealth of experience in financial services.
