Job Description:
Hume Central Secondary College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our team as a Youth Worker/Health Worker. This role involves coordinating and managing staff, ensuring compliance with standard procedures and school policy, and reporting to senior management.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with Student Welfare Coordinators and Team Leaders to promote effective student wellbeing practices.
* Provide advice and support to the whole College community in developing and implementing wellbeing programs.
* Collaborate with Student Support Services, staff and support agencies to develop and implement resilience, attendance and social-emotional programs.
* Establish and maintain links with external support agencies to optimise service provision for students at risk of disengagement.
Requirements:
* Suitable qualifications and/or experience in psychology, youth work or a wellbeing field.
* Experience working with refugees is an advantage.
* Understanding of common approaches, policies, programs and research relating to student wellbeing in a senior year school setting.
* Experience in delivering student and family wellbeing services in a relevant setting.
* Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
