Position Summary

We are currently seeking a Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to join our Smithtown Factory, home of MILO and Nescafe single serve Café Menu range.

The SHE Manager will support and advise the Factory Management team on all SHE aspects, focusing on implementing market-level initiatives and driving continuous improvement in SHE performance aligned with Nestlé's commitment to zero accidents and incidents.


A day in the life…

Reporting to the Factory Manager, key responsibilities include:

1. Developing and implementing the Factory's SHE strategy and program.
2. Setting SHE objectives aligned with market and corporate goals.
3. Monitoring and communicating SHE performance to inform decision-making.
4. Ensuring compliance with SHE policies, legal requirements, and standards such as ISO14001 and ISO45001.
5. Building relationships with authorities and other factories.
6. Leading SHE management systems, including tools and initiatives, and supporting TPM SHE pillar activities.
7. Providing coaching to management and line managers to meet SHE objectives.
8. Managing SHE data and promoting safety, health, and environmental awareness.
9. Championing risk assessments, incident investigations, corrective actions, and safety culture initiatives.


What will make you successful

The ideal candidate will have extensive SHE management experience, including systems, risk assessments, and incident investigations in manufacturing. Key qualities include strong negotiation skills, proactive safety culture development, and excellent communication. Requirements include:

* Formal qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or Environment.
* Ability to influence behaviour and manage change.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards.
* Proactive, thorough, and relationship-oriented approach.
