Salesforce is seeking a dynamic and proven Sales Leader to take on the role of Regional Vice President (RVP) within our Government and Public Sector team. This is an exciting opportunity to drive strategic growth in a high-impact, fast-paced environment. As an RVP, you will lead a team of talented Sales Leaders and Account Executives, ensuring Salesforce continues to deliver innovative solutions that empower government agencies and public sector organizations to achieve their missions.
Your Mission As a Regional Vice President (RVP)
Lead and Inspire: Oversee a team of Account Executives, driving individual and team performance while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and growth.
Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Government and Public Sector business, aligning with Salesforce’s core values and corporate objectives.
Engage Stakeholders: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with senior leaders across government organizations, ensuring Salesforce’s solutions are positioned as transformative tools for public service delivery.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Solution Engineering, Public Sector Programs, Partner Alliances, and other internal teams to ensure seamless execution of growth strategies.
Deliver Results: Drive accountability across your teams to exceed sales goals, with a strong focus on acquiring new public sector accounts while expanding relationships with existing customers.
Thought Leadership: Represent Salesforce at public sector forums, industry events, and user groups to enhance market presence and influence.
Operational Excellence: Oversee forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize business outcomes.
Talent Development: Hire, mentor, and develop top-tier sales talent, ensuring a high-performing and diverse team.
Requirements
Proven experience as a senior sales leader, managing multiple teams or regions within the Government and Public Sector.
Demonstrated success in driving sales strategies that exceed targets and deliver impactful results.
Deep knowledge of public sector procurement processes, decision-making frameworks, and compliance requirements.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at the executive level.
Extensive experience in the technology industry, ideally with SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS solutions, and a strong understanding of the CRM space.
A strategic mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data and craft actionable insights for growth.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong track record of leading geographically dispersed teams within the public sector sales setting.
Experience working with large, complex government accounts and navigating multifaceted sales cycles.
Expertise in recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse sales talent.
