The Opportunity
Contract - 12 months, with potential for extension
We're seeking a Senior C++ Developer with strong systems-level experience to join our engineering team. This role is pivotal in maintaining and enhancing a complex codebase, resolving existing issues, and architecting new modules that support evolving business needs.
This is an ideal opportunity for a developer who thrives on debugging intricate systems, writing clean and performant code, and contributing to scalable software design.
What You'll Do
* Investigate and resolve existing bugs and performance bottlenecks in a large-scale C++ system.
* Refactor legacy components to improve maintainability and reliability.
* Ensure code quality through rigorous testing and documentation.
Module Design & Development
* Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement new software modules.
* Translate technical requirements into robust, production-ready C++ implementations.
* Integrate new features seamlessly into existing architecture.
* Work closely with architects, DevOps, and product teams to align on technical goals.
* Apply modern C++ standards and best practices (C++17/20) to ensure code efficiency and safety.
* Contribute to continuous improvement of development workflows and system observability.
What You'll Bring
* Proven experience in C++ development for production systems.
* Strong understanding of memory management, multithreading, and performance tuning.
* Experience debugging complex systems and resolving critical issues.
* Familiarity with modern C++ standards and STL.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Experience working in microservices or modular architectures is a plus.
