Responsibilities
1. Performance of machine inspections, repairs and parts replacements – i.e. roll changes for food refiners (includes: replacement of gears, bearings, hydraulics, etc).
2. Performance of service jobs on a machine basis, scheduled (preventative) and unscheduled (breakdown)
3. Specialist mechanical troubleshooting, repair and configuration
4. Machine control setup and adjustments – machine startup
5. Performance of complex retrofits
6. Generating of delegation reports
7. Support of Engineering and Sales in technical matters
8. Consulting/troubleshooting over the phone. Provide guidance and instructions to customer\'s technical team
9. Customer consulting on spare and wear parts plus retrofit packs and control systems
10. Instruction of customer personnel on site or in the Training Center
Qualifications
11. Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a Service Engineer in a similar industry - chocolate or confectionary preferable
12. Mechanical Engineering education
13. Successful completion of training program "Level 2 Service Engineer"
14. Knowledge of chocolate process - preferable
15. Knowledge of the range of equipment of the relevant business units plus knowledge of older machine series
16. Basic knowledge of the process technology used in the business units and the areas of food safety and ATEX
17. Ability to interpret (foreign-language) factory regulations
18. Good knowledge of English as the corporate language in its spoken and written form
