The Role
We're seeking a proactive, reliable and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our friendly Administration team at our Gosford dealership. You'll work closely with our Company Accountant and play a key role in financial reporting, reconciliations and supporting broader admin functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of weekly & monthly management reports for the leadership team.
* Reconciliation of balance sheet and profit & loss accounts.
* Reconciling internal departmental ledgers/clearing accounts.
* Monthly journal preparation and processing.
* Preparation and submission of required data to external manufacturers.
* Collaborating with staff and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reports and reconciliations.
* Processing monthly bank statements and ledger entries in MYOB.
* BAS preparation.
* Preparation of banking transactions.
* Supporting ad hoc administration projects as needed.
Our Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Tertiary education in accounting (or currently completing) is preferred (not essential).
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
* Ability to meet monthly deadlines.
* Self-motivated, eager to learn and able to support broader admin functions.
* High accuracy and attention to detail.
* Punctual and reliable.
* Good communication skills and a team-player.
* Must have own transport and current Driver's Licence
