Director - Infrastructure Strategy and Planning

This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position with possible extension commencing ASAP
About the Division
The Infrastructure Division, within Education Business Services, has responsibility for the provision of facilities (land, buildings and equipment) for the Department, which includes demographic forecasting and facilities planning, strategic asset management, delivery of capital projects, maintenance and minor works programs. The Division also provides property management, asset services contract management, security and environmental services to schools.
The Infrastructure Strategy and Planning Directorate is responsible for longer-term strategic planning of land and building infrastructure, preparation of capital funding proposals, providing statistical and demographic planning, developing asset management and sustainability strategy and policy, land planning, undertaking land acquisition and managing the Department's land estate.
About the Job
As a member of the Department's senior leadership team, you will lead the strategic planning of land and building infrastructure. This includes the development of funding proposals, develop asset management and sustainability strategy and policy. You will also lead the Department's land planning and acquisition requirements and manage the Department's land estate.
The Ideal Applicant
To be successful in this role you will have highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and extensive experience in preparing high level business cases, briefing notes and reports. Experience in policy development and knowledge of strategic asset management will also stand you in good stead.
You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to lead and develop a diverse team to deliver outcomes aligned with the Department's strategic goals.
