You'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality swimming lessons, promoting water safety, and helping our community feel right at home in the water.What You'll Be Doing:Run engaging swim lessons for various groups, ages & skill levels.Ensure pool safety and support lesson planning.Build water confidence & promote community connection.Deliver safe and engaging "Learn to Swim" programs tailored to individual needs.Assess swimmer ability, track progress, and provide feedback to students and families.Set up and pack down equipment before/after lessons.Keep the pool area clean, safe, and well-maintained.Support continuous improvement in lesson delivery and aquatic programs.Potential for additional shifts and duties based on qualifications and experience.What You'll Bring:Essential:AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent).Current CPR and First Aid Certificate.Minimum 1 year of experience teaching 'Learn to Swim' programs.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Current National Police Check, Working with Children (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain.Desirable:AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant Aquatics.AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics for People with Disabilities.Pool Lifeguard certificate.A genuine passion for community building and inclusive teaching.About UsWe are one of Australia's largest and most diverse not-for-profit organisations, with a legacy of care and compassion spanning over 140 years.
